As a Before & After Care Worker, you will assist in maintaining an orderly, safe, and pleasant atmosphere in the cafeteria, playground, and other designated locations by helping and supervising students during authorized before or after school programs in accordance with CSUSA policy and established school procedures.

- This position is in the public eye and program assistants must always reflect a professional manner and provide excellent customer service.
- Candidates must be able to resolve conflicts with children and parents, be firm yet friendly, courteous, and professional when dealing with parents, children, and coworkers.
- Follow proper student sign‑in and dismissal procedures for before care.
- Follow proper student check‑in and dismissal procedures for after care.
- Monitor students.
- Observe who enters and leaves the childcare area.
- Pass out snacks.
- Play with students on the playground.
- Tutor and assist students with homework.
- Resolve conflicts with children and parents.
- High school diploma or higher educational credential.
- Previous experience as a daycare assistant or summer camp counselor preferred.
- Must like children.
- Commitment to company values.

- May perform other duties as assigned.
Usual school working conditions. May be noisy during high student traffic.
Physical DemandsNo physical exertion required. Somewhat stressful due to frequent student activity. Light work:
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move objects.
Job is exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
