Job DescriptionJob Summary
Improves K-12 Mathematics instruction of students with disabilities through professional development, coaching, and instructional support for teachers and school-based coaches.
Essential Functions
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of experience in exceptional student education.
Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education certification in at least one area of exceptional student education. Mathematics certification preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Working knowledge of DCPS exceptional student education policies and procedures
- Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and behavioral interventions, including using a variety of teaching methods and positive behavior reinforcement appealing to different learners
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Working knowledge of professional development methodologies using a variety of in-service programs
- Strong project management skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong creative problem-solving skills
- Strong data analysis skills
- Ability to improve and develop curriculum materials
- Ability to implement models of instructional and behavioral interventions
- Ability to evaluate programs for ESE students
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
- Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner
- Ability to prepare reports
Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $52,888 to $89,935 Per Year
