Starting Salary: $48,700. Referendum money is available for the 26-27 school year only, starting at about $7,000; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement based on the date of hire.

Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the District's philosophy of education. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, projects, and other instructional activities to communicate these objectives to students, employing a variety of instructional techniques and media consistent with the physical limitations of the location and the needs of the students.

• Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Experience: None required. Salary is based on verified years of teaching experience.
• Certifications & Licenses: Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.

Additional qualifications for other ESE positions:

• ESE Certified Behavior Analyst: Three (3) years successful teaching or work experience with students on the autism spectrum and/or students with behaviorally complex needs; experience with special education and related services for students with disabilities. Board certification as a Behavior Analyst and Florida Department of Education teaching certification in at least one area of Exceptional Student Education, Guidance and Counseling or School Psychology.
  
  Autism Spectrum Disorder Endorsement preferred.
• ESE Intervention Representative: Five (5) years successful classroom teaching experience in exceptional student education or a combination of exceptional/regular education teaching experience. Background in behavior management techniques strongly recommended. Florida Department of Education certification in at least one area of Exceptional Student Education, Administration/Supervision or Educational Leadership. Three (3) years experience working with students with disabilities. Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.
• ESE Lead: Three (3) years experience working with students with disabilities. Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education Certification in appropriate subject area.
• ESE Site Coach: Three (3) years experience working with students with Emotional/Behavioral Disabilities/Autism. Certification in at least one area of exceptional student education (for Autism positions, Autism certification or endorsement required) and one area of a core content area or K-6 Certification.
