Job DescriptionStarting Salary: $48,700. Additional Referendum money is available for the next two years starting at $7,730 for the 26-27 school year; teachers hired during the school year will receive a prorated supplement amount based on the date of hire.
Job Summary
Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals and in harmony with the district’s philosophy of education. Establishes clear objectives for all lessons, units, and projects, and communicates these objectives to students. Employs a variety of instructional techniques and instructional media consistent with the physical limitations of the location and the needs of students.
Essential FunctionsEducation: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: None.
Certifications & Licenses: Must be eligible for Florida Department of Education certification in appropriate subject area.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities- Knowledge of subject content
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong time management skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation software skills
- Ability to plan and implement a program of study that meets individual student needs
- Ability to devote additional hours beyond the workday for grading papers, lesson plans, etc.
- Ability to manage students
- Ability to manage multiple tasks
