About the Role:

The Skilled Trades Instructor for Residential Plumbing plays a crucial role in shaping the next generation of plumbing professionals. This position involves delivering comprehensive training programs that equip students with the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in the plumbing industry. The instructor will develop and implement curriculum that aligns with industry standards, ensuring that students are well-prepared for real-world challenges.

Additionally, the instructor will provide hands-on training, fostering a practical understanding of plumbing systems and techniques. Ultimately, the goal is to empower students to achieve their career aspirations while promoting safety and best practices in plumbing.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Valid plumbing license or certification in the relevant jurisdiction.
  • Proven experience in residential plumbing, with a minimum of 5 years in the field.
  • Previous teaching or training experience, preferably in a vocational or educational setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with curriculum development and instructional design.
  • Familiarity with adult learning principles and teaching methodologies.
  • Additional certifications in related trades or teaching credentials.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and training modules focused on residential plumbing.
  • Provide hands-on instruction and demonstrations to enhance students' practical skills.
  • Assess student performance through evaluations, practical tests, and feedback sessions.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of plumbing codes, regulations, and industry advancements.
  • Collaborate with industry partners to ensure curriculum relevance and facilitate job placement opportunities for students.
