Starting at $51,000 (based on experience)

Job Summary

Global Leadership Academy is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging High School English Language Arts Teacher to support student achievement in reading, writing, and critical analysis. The ideal candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and prepare students for college and career readiness.

• Deliver standards-aligned ELA instruction in accordance with Florida B.E.S.T. Standards
• Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, writing, and text analysis
• Assess and monitor student progress using data to guide instruction and interventions
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Foster a structured, respectful, and academically rigorous classroom environment
• Provide timely feedback on student work, including essays and written assignments
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress
• Collaborate with department members, instructional coaches, and school leadership
• Participate in professional development, school meetings, and school-wide initiatives

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• Valid Florida Certification in English (6–12) or Secondary ELA
• Strong knowledge of secondary literacy instruction and curriculum standards
• Effective classroom management and communication skills

• 3+ years of high school teaching experience
• ESOL Endorsement
• Reading Endorsement
• Experience with advanced coursework (Honors, AP, or dual enrollment)

• Monday through Friday
• 8-hour shift
