Job SummaryAssists in leading the Charter School Department. Supervises the application, monitoring and maintenance of charter options including charter schools and other state mandated private and public school choice programs. Supervises the assignment of students to charter schools, school boundaries and student enrollment database. Assists with writing and implementing large scale grants involving charter schools.
Essential FunctionsEducation: Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Four (4) years successful supervisory or administrative experience at the school or central office with increasing levels of responsibility. Knowledge of school board policies; state and federal laws related to school choice options and pupil assignment; curriculum development; and current trend in charter school design and implementation. Demonstrated knowledge and/or ability with technology, fiscal affairs, GIS software, and school boundaries.
Must have grant management background. Management experience with Magnet Schools Assistance Program (MSAP) grant preferred.
Certifications & Licenses: Florida Department of Education.

Position Type: Full-Time
Salary: $100,000 Per Year
