Assistant Professor – Cataloging and Collection Development Librarian

Job Title

Jacksonville State University’s Houston Cole Library invites applications for a tenure track position for Assistant Professor and Cataloging and Collection Development Librarian.

• Cataloging materials as they are received, maintaining authority records, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the library’s catalog.
• Planning and implementing policies and procedures addressing the needs of the Technical Services Department.
• Scanning reviews and selection tools to identify potential additions to the collection.
• Submitting orders for materials to the Acquisitions Department.
• Overseeing collection management and development policies and processes, including subject assessments.

Annual salary of $50,000.00.

• Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) or equivalent from an ALA-accredited program.
• Preferred experience in cataloging, RDA, and OCLC’s Connexion.
