Position Overview
The Department of Mathematics & Statistics seeks a 9‑month, non‑tenure track Clinical Instructor of Mathematics. The position will coordinate and oversee the Algebra program, provide academic leadership, supervise and mentor graduate teaching assistants, facilitate meetings and training sessions, and collaborate with Lower‑Division Directors and other stakeholders on curriculum and assessment.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee the Algebra program as the Algebra coordination lead.
- Provide academic leadership for Algebra coordination and lead the Algebra Step‑Back program.
- Ensure consistency across sections in course structure, assessments, grading, and expectations for GTAs and instructors.
- Supervise and mentor GTAs teaching algebra courses.
- Facilitate regular meetings, training sessions, and communication with algebra instructors.
- Collaborate with Lower‑Division Directors and other stakeholders on curriculum and assessment.
Reports to the Department Chair. Working hours vary; this position is not supervisory in nature.
CompensationChair Compensation $58,000.00 to Negotiable (annual).
Start DatePosition expected to begin on August3,2026.
Qualifications- Minimum of a master’s degree in the field of instruction by the employment start date.

This position requires a background check. A credit check may also be required in accordance with university policy.
