Job Description

Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music is looking for private music instructors who share the philosophy "Learn to Play From the Heart". We strive to make music lessons accessible and affordable, believing that music education is essential for a better, happier world.

We are hiring instructors for Multiple Instruments. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio in Jacksonville, FL, but we have students needing teachers ASAP. Lessons can occur at the students' homes, your own home or studio/rehearsal space, or via webcam. While webcam requests are a small percentage, most students prefer in‑person lessons, so we need local instructors who can host students and/or travel to students in the Jacksonville area.

You will be paid on an independent contractor basis between $20-$30 per hour, depending on travel time, your experience/education, and your student retention rate. You will set your own schedule and curriculum/lesson plans. We handle advertising, marketing, SEO, and billing to help lighten your load so you can focus on music.

Responsibilities include teaching students of all ages, maintaining clear communication with our office, and arriving on time for all lessons. You must wear a mask, sanitize hands, and practice social distancing when applicable.

Qualifications
  • Ability to work with children and maintain organized lesson plans
  • Formal music training not mandatory, but at least one of the following is required:
    • A degree in music
    • Enrollment in a music program
    • Professional performing experience
    • Previous teaching experience
Benefits

Freedom to set your own schedule and curriculum, administrative support for advertising and billing, and the opportunity to join a mission‑driven music education partnership.
