Substitute teachers have the opportunity to work with a wide variety of students and implement different teaching methods and techniques. A broad knowledge of subject matter and the ability to execute lesson plans will help ensure the classroom runs smoothly on any day as needed.

• Cover classroom duties as needed
• Develop relationships with other school staff
• Promote positive development and social and emotional competencies in students
• Maintain a well-organized and engaging classroom environment

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
• Prior teaching experience is preferred
• Ability to pass both state and federal background checks

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
