The Upper School Math Teacher engages students in grades 9–12 across a range of courses, from foundational to Honors and Advanced Placement. Essential Functions- Ability to teach a range of high school math courses, demonstrating the ability to cover the full curriculum, including Honors and AP as assigned.
- Design engaging, student-centered lessons that promote problem-solving and inquiry.
- Differentiate instruction to meet varied learning needs.
- Use graphing calculators, digital platforms, and interactive tools to enhance instruction.
- Assess student progress and provide timely feedback.
- Foster a classroom culture of curiosity, respect, and perseverance.
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues.
- Collaborate on curriculum alignment and cross-disciplinary initiatives.
- Serve as an advisor once established at Bolles, building meaningful relationships with students.
- Participate in professional development, meetings, and school events.
- Model lifelong learning and professional growth.
Bachelor's degree in mathematics or related field required;
Master's preferred. Minimum three years teaching experience, ideally in an independent school. Ability to teach the full range of high school mathematics courses. Strong communication, classroom management, and organizational skills. Commitment to an inclusive and engaging learning environment. Proficiency with educational technology and willingness to explore new tools. Dedication to the mission and values of The Bolles School.

Physical RequirementsMove safely around campus and supervise students in varied settings. Lift and carry instructional materials up to 25 pounds. Engage in standard teaching practices, including voice projection and use of classroom technology.
