Special Education Teacher

This contract opportunity runs from August 3, 2026, through May 28, 2027, and offers a full-time schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily), with placement at a single school site in the northwest region of the district.

You'll support students with diverse learning needs and varying exceptionalities, bringing your expertise and compassion to an inclusive educational environment.

• Current Florida ESE Certification AND either K-6 or PK-3 General Education Certification (both required)
• Previous experience in a self-contained ESE classroom
• Strong ability to manage caseloads involving multiple learning levels and exceptionalities
• Commitment to fostering a supportive, individualized learning environment
• Detail-oriented and organized, with strong classroom management skills
• Willingness to complete all required fingerprinting and credentialing steps, including the AHCA Clearinghouse verification and JLA badge application

• Lead a self-contained ESE classroom, adapting curriculum and instruction to meet individual student needs
• Work collaboratively with fellow educators, support staff, and families to promote academic and social growth
• Maintain clear, accurate records on student progress and implement IEPs faithfully
• Cultivate an engaging, safe, and inclusive classroom climate for all students
