Special Education Teacher in Jacksonville, FL

Make a real difference as a Special Education Teacher in a supportive elementary school environment near Jacksonville, FL. This rewarding contract position begins August 3, 2026, and runs through May 28, 2027, with a steady schedule of 35 hours per week (7 hours daily), all at a single school location in the Northwest region. You will lead a self-contained ESE classroom, working with students who have a range of learning abilities and exceptionalities.

• Active Florida ESE certification is required
• K-6 or PK-3 General Education certification also required
• Previous self-contained classroom experience is essential
• Comfortable working with varying learning levels and exceptionalities
• Ability to obtain and verify fingerprints for eligibility through the AHCA Clearinghouse, or willingness to complete new fingerprinting if necessary
• Successful completion of a virtual prescreen interview

• Deliver individualized instruction and manage classroom activities for students with exceptional needs
• Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each students unique strengths
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Collaborate with support staff and families to promote student success and growth
• Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and state requirements
