POSITION OVERVIEW
KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools seeks middle school teachers for our fifth through eighth-grade classrooms in the school year.
The purpose of this course is to assist students in making informed decisions regarding their future academic and occupational goals and to provide information regarding careers in the Business Management and Administration career cluster. The content includes but is not limited to instruction in introductory keyboarding, introductory word processing, introductory electronic presentation, introductory computer hardware, introductory Internet, and skills for business applications.
Instruction and learning activities are provided in a laboratory setting using hands‑on experiences with the equipment, materials and technology appropriate to the course content and in accordance with current practices.
Please note that fifth grade is considered part of our middle school model.
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification in Business Education 6-12
- At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track‑record of high achievement in the classroom

- Passing a background check, as required by law

HIGHLY PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- CTE Certification
- ESOL Endorsement (or competency coursework in progress)
- Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement in a relevant grade level
Starting salary for a first-year lead teacher is $50,000.
