General Description/Primary Purpose
The Department of Health Administration is seeking a 12-month Visiting Assistant Professor with strong expertise in research methodology.
Position responsibilities include teaching four courses per semester in Health Administration programs as assigned, with a particular emphasis on supporting doctoral students through methodology seminars and related instruction.
This is a temporary appointment for a stated term or time period, on a full-time or part-time basis.
The successful candidate will support Doctor of Health Administration (DHA) students in developing methodological competence for dissertation and scholarly work. Areas of emphasis may include research design, quantitative methods, qualitative methods, mixed methods, applied statistics, data analysis, program evaluation, survey design, and dissertation‑related methodological development.
Additional responsibilities include participating in the academic life of the department and college (e.g., attending faculty meetings, participating in curriculum review/development, assessing student learning, etc.) and collaborating with faculty to strengthen doctoral methodology instruction and student support. Service on committees may be assigned as appropriate in the department, college, and university.

- Earned Doctorate in Health Administration, Health Services Research, Public Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Analytics, Health Data Science, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Research Methods, Evaluation (or a closely related discipline) from an accredited institution by the employment start date
- Must demonstrate strong methodological expertise and the ability to teach and mentor doctoral students in research design and applied methods
- Evidence of successful graduate or doctoral teaching
- Experience leading methodology seminars or dissertation research courses
- Expertise in quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods
- Ability to support dissertation development
- Experience with applied data analysis software and healthcare research settings
- Experience teaching online, hybrid, and/or executive-format programs
