KIPP Jacksonville seeks a Senior Manager of Secondary Math who will serve as the instructional leader for mathematics across grades 6–12 throughout the KIPP Jacksonville region. This role furthers our mission by leading the implementation, continuous improvement, and strategic development of high-quality secondary mathematics curriculum and instruction. The Senior Manager of Secondary Math ensures that all students in grades 6–12 experience standards-aligned, rigorous, engaging, and culturally responsive mathematics instruction that prepares them for success in advanced coursework, college, and career.

The Senior Manager of Secondary Math is an engaging facilitator who partners closely with school leaders, instructional coaches, and teachers to strengthen mathematics instruction across middle and high school. This leader designs and facilitates high-impact professional learning, leads data-driven conversations around student achievement, models exemplary instructional practices, coaches educators, and provides targeted support to ensure strong curriculum implementation and instructional excellence.

Success in this role will be measured by the quality and fidelity of 6–12 mathematics curriculum implementation, improvements in instructional practice, and student achievement outcomes in secondary mathematics. The Senior Manager of Secondary Math is a full-time, senior manager-level position that reports to the Director of Math. As a member of the Shared Services Academic Team, this individual will collaborate across schools and departments to ensure every student develops the mathematical knowledge, critical thinking skills, and confidence needed to thrive in high school, postsecondary education, and beyond.

This is a year-round position that performs duties as assigned by the Director of Math. Typical work hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; however, hours may vary based on the needs of the role, school schedules, and organizational priorities.

Specific duties include collaborating with regional and school-based leaders to develop and refine a horizontally and vertically aligned K-12 math framework, developing and facilitating region-wide professional development for teachers, supporting the Director of Math to oversee the full implementation of identified math curricula in grade bands 6-12, creating and revising regional curriculum calendars in collaboration with the academic team and schools, ensuring alignment of curriculum to standards and state assessments, serving as a liaison to school-based content leads by running regional department meetings and teacher content teams, analyzing regional data in collaboration with regional and school-based leadership to identify areas of need, and supporting the facilitation of region-wide instructional initiatives that lead us to our goals.

Other duties include monitoring any math lab specials at the schools, monitoring and evaluating school-based intervention and instructional technology programs related to math, conducting regular instructional reviews of math-based instruction in partnership with school based leadership teams, serving as a model teacher and assisting as needed in the classroom setting, providing coaching as needed to teachers and school-based content leaders, to include creating exemplar lessons and development with internalization of lesson plans, and practice of instructional delivery, and other duties as assigned.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree, at least four (4) years of relevant teaching experience in K-12 math, evidence of leading or influencing other adults through a teacher-leader, coaching, or administrative role, Florida teaching certificate in relevant area or equivalent (Math 6-12), and demonstrated strong student achievement results in science.

Highly preferred qualifications include experience with teaching math in Florida in a tested/assessed grade level, prior experience as an instructional coach or content specialist, experience with Eureka curriculum, and relevant Master's degree.

Compensation includes a starting salary of $62,000, individual health benefits (including medical, dental and vision), individual short-term and long-term disability insurance, 403b retirement program with a company match, professional development, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a team of teachers and leaders, outstanding public speaking and writing skills, technological proficiency and adaptability, a deep commitment to both racial and educational equity for all children, and passing a background check, as required by law.
