The most meaningful support you can offer a student who achieves 99% is to acknowledge it isn't yet 100%. Not out of indifference — but because you know they can reach it, and accepting less would be the true disservice. If this reasoning resonates, continue reading. If it feels overly strict, this position will likely not suit you.
Alpha students don't attend traditional lectures. They advance through adaptive applications at double the speed of conventional classrooms while simultaneously developing practical life competencies. Your role ensures three commitments are fulfilled for every child in your group: they develop a genuine love of learning, they progress at twice the standard rate, and they acquire capabilities beyond what traditional curricula provide. You will also mentor the Guides who uphold these same commitments throughout your campus.
All decisions are informed by metrics and all interactions are conducted in person. Your time divides between your assigned student cohort and the Guides under your leadership — with identical expectations for both: documented advancement, without compromise. When a Guide's session under performs, you don't file documentation; you observe directly, conduct a debrief, and implement corrections that same afternoon.
You will witness reserved students presenting with confidence to adults. You will observe a child who previously "despised school" requesting to remain after hours. And you will understand that the standard you maintained is precisely what enabled their transformation, because upholding expectations demonstrates your belief in their capacity to exceed them.
You may be establishing a completely new campus from the ground up and defining the foundational culture that will characterize the school. As the campus develops, your emphasis transitions from operational startup responsibilities to leadership through coaching, cultivating the team that expands Alpha's approach throughout your region.
What You Will Be Doing- Facilitating one-hour interactive life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) sessions with K-8 students covering areas such as public speaking and concentration, adhering to Alpha's established framework
- Conducting daily motivational sessions that ensure 100% of students achieve their weekly application-based goals through age-appropriate incentive structures including school currency and performance leaderboards
- Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical skill-building so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy
- Analyzing Coachbot data and individual student records to pinpoint students requiring intervention, then providing direct support
- Directly mentoring your assigned student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational approaches you require from all Guides
- Creating lesson plans or building curriculum. Students progress through adaptive applications; your focus is elevating the people who support them.
- Delivering traditional classroom lectures. You function as 80% facilitator, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't aligned.
- Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student reaches 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you will have institutional support to maintain that position.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your day involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
- Waiting extended periods for performance assessment. Outcomes are visible in real-time through Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.
Key Responsibilities
