Instructor - Construction Management

Department of Construction Management – Instructor Position (12‑month, non‑tenure)

Purpose:

Instructor of Construction Management responsible for a 4/4 teaching load and service. Reports to the Department Chair. Working hours vary.

Supervision Exercised: None.

• Teach undergraduate courses in construction management, including computer applications, general construction management, and capstone projects.
• Prepare and deliver course materials, assignments, and assessments.
• Maintain course records and grades.
• Participate in departmental service activities.

• Master’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated ability and track record of instructing undergraduate students in construction management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Minimum of two years of college‑level teaching experience in relevant subjects.
• Minimum of five years of industry experience in construction management.

• Background check required; credit check may also be requested.
• Incumbent designated as a “Responsible Employee” under Title IX and must report any violations.
