Job Description

The Regional Consultant Lead is responsible for building, managing, and supporting a growing team of regional field consultants who work directly with educators across California. This person plays a central role in ensuring that Amplify's product pilots are executed with consistency and quality — keeping consultants trained, scheduled, and aligned to best practices across our Math and ELA, and eventually Science product lines.

Unlike deep subject‑matter specialist roles, this position requires broad familiarity across content areas and a strong command of the overall pilot experience from start to finish.

Reporting directly to the California District Manager, the Regional Consultant Lead will serve as the primary point of accountability, coaching, and coordination for the consultant team. This person will be equally comfortable working behind the scenes on logistics and scheduling as they are in front of educators, modeling what great pilot support looks like. They will also work cross‑functionally with field marketing to help develop pilot support content and will partner with leadership to grow the team through active recruiting and hiring.

Essential

Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of pilot support consultants (with an initial team of approximately 6, growing over time), serving as their primary resource for training, guidance, and performance feedback.

  • Oversee and coordinate the scheduling of consultants across regional territories, ensuring that pilots are appropriately staffed, timelines are met, and all logistics are organized and communicated clearly.

  • Travel into the field to accompany consultants on school and teacher visits, actively modeling best practices for pilot facilitation, educator engagement, and product support.

  • Conduct regular check‑ins with consultants to monitor progress, ensure quality of delivery, address challenges, and reinforce training and expectations.

  • Provide direct pilot support in the field as capacity allows, serving as a hands‑on contributor alongside the consultant team during active pilot engagements.

  • Partner with the District Manager to recruit, interview, and hire new pilot support consultants as the team scales.

  • Collaborate with the CA Field Marketing team to develop and refine pilot support content, including teacher‑facing communications and resources used throughout the pilot journey.

Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in educational consulting, professional learning services, or a comparable field‑based instructional role.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting or facilitating K–12 educational product pilots.

  • Strong presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to confidently engage educators and model effective instructional support practices.

  • Proven ability to provide coaching and constructive feedback to peers, colleagues, or direct reports.

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated experience managing complex scheduling and multiple concurrent priorities.

  • Broad working knowledge across Math, ELA, Science.

  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally on a regular basis to support pilot activities and consultant development.

  • Must reside in California, as this role requires regular in‑person field engagement across regional territories through the state.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience managing or mentoring a team of consultants, professional learning specialists, or field‑based education professionals.
