General Description/PrimaryPurpose:
Part-time adjunct faculty position in the Department of Public Health. Adjunct faculty are employed on a semester-by-semester basis, as needed, and are non-tenure-earning. Master's degree in specified discipline. Can be used for temporary (OPS) faculty titles only.
Temporary appointment extended to an expert in a specific field to give instruction in connection with an established program.
Appointments are forone (1) academic term at a time and possess no continuing contractual relationship with the University.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:- Teach assigned course(s) in accordance with the approved syllabus and course schedule
- Hold scheduled office hours with frequency and modality as negotiated with the acting program director and department chair.
- Create, administer, and grade assessments and use Canvas to deliver course content.

Anticipated Start DateThe position is expected to begin on May 5th, 2026.
CompensationAdjunct faculty are paid a minimum of $1150 per credit hour.
Preferred QualificationsAn earned doctorate in Public Health or closely related field. Experience teaching in a Learning Management System (LMS) platform, particularly the Canvas application. Previous experience teaching at a higher education institution.

About the DepartmentThe Department of Public Health offers a Bachelor of Science in Health (B.S.H.) with a Public Health concentration. It also offers a Master of Public Health with either a concentration in Epidemiology or Social & Behavioral Science, a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and certificates in Animal Assisted Therapy in Counseling, Applied Public Health & Medical Education Research, Global Health, Mental Health Sexology, and public.
