Middle School Math Teacher (Grades 6th – 8th

Head of School / Academic Principal

Potential Christian Academy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School Math Teacher for the  school year to inspire students in grades 6–8 to develop strong mathematical skills and critical thinking abilities within a Christ-centered learning environment. The ideal candidate will integrate biblical principles with academic instruction while creating engaging lessons that challenge and support students at varying skill levels.

• Plan and deliver engaging math instruction for middle school students (Grades 6–8) aligned with curriculum standards.
• Teach core math concepts such as pre-algebra, algebraic reasoning, fractions, ratios, problem solving, and mathematical reasoning.
• Create lesson plans, assessments, and activities that promote critical thinking and real-world application of math skills.
• Integrate Christian values and biblical worldview into daily instruction and classroom culture.
• Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to students and parents.
• Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and student performance.
• Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages respect, responsibility, and collaboration.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements.
• Participate in school events, faculty meetings, chapel services, and professional development opportunities.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and administration to support student success and school initiatives.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (required).
• Florida teaching certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.
• Experience teaching middle school math preferred.
• Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
• Commitment to Christian education and the mission of Potential Christian Academy.
• Ability to integrate faith and learning in the classroom.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
