Job Summary
Jax State partners with many high schools in our region to offer college courses through Dual Enrollment on the high school campus and online.
This posting is for faculty at those partner schools who, working with their principal and Jax State’s Dual Enrollment Coordinator, are seeking adjunct certification to teach Dual Enrollment courses on their home campus and/or online. Prior to applying, these faculty members should first speak with their principal and the Jax State Director of Graduate and Accelerated Programs, Dr. Jennie Vaughn (jlvaughn).
It is also open to qualified individuals beyond our partner high schools who are interested in teaching Dual Enrollment courses for Jax State.

The Director and Coordinator of Dual Enrollment, in collaboration with the appropriate academic Department Head and Faculty Liaison, will assess faculty credentials (transcripts, coursework, degrees, and other teaching documents). Candidates who advance will attend an interview and a classroom observation. Applications are reviewed and advanced on an as‑needed basis.
Minimum Qualifications- At minimum, an earned master’s degree in a field appropriate to the discipline.
- At least 18 hours of graduate‑level coursework completed in the discipline.
- Transcripts submitted with the application will be evaluated, and any additional degrees or coursework needed will be discussed with the applicant.
- Cover Letter. The cover letter must address the applicant’s readiness, preparation, and/or experience teaching college‑level general education courses.
- CV. The CV must include at least three references, in addition to the principal and guidance counselor, with current email addresses and phone numbers.
- Teaching Philosophy.
- Unofficial Transcripts (official transcripts required upon hire).
