26-27 Middle School Science Teacher

Job Overview

KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools is hiring middle school teachers for the  school year. Teachers will be assigned a grade level (5th-8th) and teach one core subject within a home‑room model. Class sizes are approximately 26 students.

• Create a positive classroom environment.
• Implement curriculum in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, and Science.
• Assess student learning and evaluate progress.
• Collaborate with the instructional team.
• Build and maintain relationships with families.
• Participate in professional development and school events as required.
• Adhere to responsibilities outlined by the principal.

• Starting salary of $50,000 for first‑year lead teacher.

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Florida teaching certification or eligibility in kindergarten‑8 (5th/6th grade Science), middle grades science (5‑9), biology (6‑12) for grades 6‑8.
• At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track record of high achievement.
