General Description / Primary Purpose
The School of Engineering is seeking a 12-month, non-tenure earning, Instructor of Mechanical Engineering. Position responsibilities include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses with a 4/4/1 teaching load, collaboration with local industry and service to the School, College of Computing, Engineering and Construction and the University of North Florida.
SupervisorThis position will report to Dr. Alan Harris, the School of Engineering Director.

Anticipated Start DateThe position is expected to begin on August 2, 2027.
Required QualificationsThe candidate must hold a Master’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field. A PhD is required to teach graduate courses.
Preferred Qualifications / SkillsCandidates from all areas of mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply, with preference given to those who demonstrate a record of teaching experience or practice in their profession in a non-academic setting such as industry or government laboratories.
