Job DescriptionMiddle School Teacher for fifth through eighth grade classrooms in the 2025-26 school year. Teachers are assigned one grade level and are responsible for creating a positive classroom environment, implementing curriculum, assessing students, collaborating with their team, building relationships with families, and other duties as assigned. Full responsibilities are outlined by the Principal.
Instructional ModelFour “home room” teachers per grade level each teach a core subject (English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math, Science). Class size typically about 26 students. Fifth grade is part of the middle school model. Teachers may indicate preferred grade levels or subject areas in application.
Compensation and Benefits- Starting salary for first‑year lead teacher: $50,000

- Bachelor's Degree
- Relevant Florida Teaching Certification or Eligibility for Certification for 5th-6th grade ELA, 5‑9, or 6‑12 English
- At least one complete year of teaching experience with a proven track‑record of high achievement

- Background check required;
Florida background screening through Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse
Preferred Qualifications
- Florida Reading Endorsement or reading competency coursework in progress (if teaching English Language Arts)
- ESOL Endorsement or competency coursework in progress
- Two or more years of teaching experience with a proven track‑record of high achievement in a relevant grade level
