What You’ll DoAs part of our After School Program—sponsored by Kids Hope Alliance in partnership with Duval County Public Schools—you’ll deliver meaningful academic enrichment for students performing below grade level. Your role includes:
- Leading project‑based learning and engaging academic activities.
- Providing tutoring, homework support, and targeted instructional strategies.
- Implementing the UFLI curriculum and aligning lessons with district standards
You’ll work on-site at a school, supporting students in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with frequent movement. Some activities may take place outdoors. Flexibility, creativity, and strong supervision skills are key to success in this role.
Qualifications & Requirements- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years’ experience working with youth in educational programs.
- Valid teaching certificate (required).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid state-issued reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass Level II background screening (local, state, and federal).
- Completion of DCF 45-hour training within the first year of employment.
- Must comply with the City of Jacksonville Drug Free Workplace Policy (Directive 0401).
