Job SummaryMiller Electric-Are you looking to begin a rewarding career in electrical project management? The Project Associate is phase 1 of 3 on the path to becoming a Project Manager with one of the largest electrical technology companies in the country. The Project Associate reports directly to the project leader. This is a client-facing role that requires the ability to build relationships both in and out of the office.
The core responsibility as a Project Associate is to learn through on-the-job experience, peer-to-peer engagement, and technical training. This is an evergreen job posting intended to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings. Qualified candidates will be contacted to interview, but not necessarily placed immediately.

- Begin building long term relationships with your clients and fellow employees by earning trust through diligent communication and high-quality work ethic.
- Support the generation of estimates and proposals to support your team in winning new work, establishing procedures, and scheduling timelines.
- Develop a strong electrical/material vocabulary and understanding of job site etiquette.
- Work with your team to ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule.
- Collaborate with your field leaders to confirm client expectations and coordination with your subcontractors and other trades.
- Assess construction progress, team needs, and issues through regular project visits with your field supervision.
- Work with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.
- Bachelor's degree or IBEW licensed electrician
- Strong computer & Google Suite skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Commitment to developing time management and organizational skills
- Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on learning environment
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.
- Project management experience
- Experience working in the construction industry
- Familiar with computer-based estimating
- Understanding of billing and collections
