CMA is hiring an entry level or early career Engineer. Candidates should be able to efficiently plan and organize their workload with their team, demonstrate success working with professionals, commit to quality, communicate effectively, and maintain a positive work ethic.
Responsibilities- Candidate shall work on various aspects of civil engineering design, plan preparation, permitting and construction oversight while working in a project team environment.
- Contribute to projects including collecting existing utility data; performing modeling and simulation; site grading; water distribution system; sanitary sewer collection system; drainage analysis; roadway alignment; pavement marking; signage; and erosion control.
- Prepare project design drawings within Micro Station and/or AutoCAD.
- Develop project specific detail drawings.
- Assist with technical specifications, cost estimates, reports, schedules, and other related tasks.
- Learn and adhere to client-specific standards.
- Coordinate with team members and client representatives.
- Periodic travel to project sites for field investigation and/or construction support.
- Project outlines, project initiation, project schedules, project executions, and project closeout.
- Interface with multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering.
- A master’s degree is a plus.
- 0 - 2 years of experience working for a firm in the A/E/C industry.
- Engineer-In-Training (EI) designation is preferred. The expectation is that such candidate would be working towards becoming a Professional Engineer (P.E.).

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of FDOT standards.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Micro Station.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
- Ability to quickly learn and apply complex systems.
