About RFA Engineering () is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering clients timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility.

Position:
Senior Electrical Engineer

This Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, development, and support of high voltage electrical systems used in heavy equipment and industrial applications. The engineer ensures systems are safe, reliable, and compliant with all applicable standards. They will lead design efforts, support testing and troubleshooting, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high‑quality electrical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Design and document high voltage electrical systems, including schematics, wiring diagrams, and protection layouts.
  • Develop and maintain bills of materials and design documentation for electrical components.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and maintenance of motors, transformers, switch gear, and control panels.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical system issues to improve reliability and performance.
  • Ensure all designs meet applicable electrical codes, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Manage projects from concept through completion, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, manufacturing, and service teams to ensure proper system integration.
  • Provide technical guidance and support for commissioning and field troubleshooting activities.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in high voltage system design.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in high voltage electrical system design for heavy equipment or industrial systems.
  • Proficiency with power distribution, grounding, and protection design.
  • Working knowledge of PLCs, CANbus, and control systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering tools such as Teamcenter, NX, and Medusa.
  • Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards (NFPA, NEC, UL, ISO).

Pay Range: $90,000–$140,000 – Commensurate with experience
