Description

DRMP's Surveying & Mapping/Geomatics Division is HIRING, and we're looking for a Survey Field Technician to join our Gainesville office.

Your Primary Responsibilities will include

* Operate instruments and data collection systems (total stations, levels, and other measuring devices) to acquire data for various types of surveys.

* Assist or perform processing of field measurements and related data;
Limited equipment maintenance.

* Maintain supplies for crew vehicles.

* Knowledge of and ability to execute the duties of the rod person (entry-level person) and ability to substitute for and perform the duties of the crew chief when absent.

What you'll need

* High School and/or specialized training from a vocational or technical school.

* Valid driver's license with approved/acceptable driving history required.

* Ability to travel (if needed)

* Ability to carry and lift equipment as needed on the project.

* Ability to cut and/or clear brush while establishing survey lines. (machete use)

* Knowledge of equipment and the ability to set up for various types for different work situations.

* Ability to hold and proficiently use all measuring devices.
