Job Description
The AutoCAD Operator supports the University of North Florida’s Physical Facilities Department by producing accurate, detailed technical drawings and documentation for campus buildings, infrastructure, renovations, and capital improvement projects. This role ensures that all digital floor plans, site plans, utilities maps, and construction documents are current, well-organized, and aligned with university standards. The AutoCAD Operator works closely with project managers, architects, engineers, maintenance teams, and external contractors to maintain the integrity of UNF’s facilities data and support efficient planning and operations

- Associate degree or technical certification in drafting, design technology, architecture, engineering, or a related field.
- Experience working in facilities management, construction, or a university/large‑campus environment.
- Familiarity with GIS, Bluebeam, space management systems, or CMMS platforms.
- Understanding of building codes, construction terminology, and campus infrastructure systems.
- Experience integrating CAD/Revit data with facilities databases or asset management tools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for creating, editing, and managing architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil drawings.
