Title: Engineer IV – Water/Wastewater
Hiring Bonus: Up to $10,000 for selected candidate.
CPH is looking for a strong and talented Engineer IV for their team in Jacksonville, FL. This person will direct the engineering design team in development projects throughout the entire cycle from initial concept through successful completion. The role involves coordinating team, contractors, and vendors to achieve project goals efficiently. The Project Engineer IV will ensure all aspects of the project execution, from planning to final delivery, are met within budget and required quality standards.
Duties/ Responsibilities
- Lead/manage the planning, design, and production of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with goals, schedules, and budget.
- Use team management skills to lead the design group during the conceptual phase of product development following CPH and client standards and templates.
- Direct the development of an action plan and estimate requirements for resources management, labor, materials, and time required to complete the project.
- Develop technical specifications, evaluate shop drawings, and oversee construction administration duties as the Engineer of Record.
- Assess vendors for competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status.
- Monitor progress of development project and compare actual costs with estimates.
- Work with design group to modify plans as appropriate if problems arise.
- Prepare monthly reports, detailing progress and costs for next level management.
- Review and study existing equipment, facilities, systems, and processes to improve efficiency, increase quality, and reduce costs.
- Periodic travel to perform business development, project management, site investigations, and construction observation. Duty includes preparation or review of subsequent reports and exhibits.
- Cooperate with project engineers from other plants to share similar supervision and support in consolidating construction plans across all disciplines and coordinating submissions to regulatory agencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software platforms.
- Ability to effectively lead and inspire a team.
- Comfortable working and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team.
- Excellent oral, written and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Strict adherence to deadlines.
- Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
- B.S. in Civil/Environmental Engineering with a P.E. License in the state of Florida. Ability to obtain additional state licensure through reciprocity is a plus.
- At least 8+ years of relevant experience in a consulting engineering firm.
- Proficiency in REVIT is required. AutoCAD, Sketchup and Adobe Suite experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Dependent upon experience.
