Project Engineer, Civil Engineering

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking to hire a Project Engineer to join a civil engineering and construction organization on a fulltime basis in Jacksonville, FL.

As a Civil Engineer (PE) you will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering projects. Collaborate with a dedicated team, ensuring projects adhere to industry standards and regulations. Your proficiency in FDOT / DOT works will be instrumental in driving the success of our projects.

• Plan, design, and oversee the implementation of infrastructure projects such as bridges and roadways.
• Manage, and oversee field crews, inspectors, junior engineers.
• Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Utilize your expertise in FDOT works to enhance project outcomes.
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineering staff.
• Work collaboratively with the construction crews, project engineers, and managers to discuss and rectify potential issues identified during inspections.
• Keep track of construction progress, focusing on aspects such as earthwork, asphalt paving, concrete reinforcement, and structural steelwork.

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, or similar engineering discipline is required
• 5+ years working experience.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required
• Working knowledge of drafting software such as Micro Station, CADD.
• In‑depth knowledge and familiarity with FDOT work and regulations.
