Position: Fabrication Specialist B with Security Clearance

TPS Technician Kennedy Space Center, FL $26.43-$37.01/Hour Abilty to Obtain a Secret Clearance Performs application, mixing, and processing of Thermal Protection Systems (TPS) materials, primers, and specialty coatings on aerospace structures in accordance with engineering drawings and manufacturing specifications. Responsibilities:
* Mix and apply primers, coatings, and TPS foam materials per engineering specifications and process documents
* Perform Thermal Protection System (TPS) foam application on aerospace structures
* Interpret and work from complex blueprints, engineering drawings, and manufacturing process documentation
* Apply chemical coatings and materials while maintaining required mix ratios and material traceability
* Work on structures and systems using established drawings and technical requirements
* Perform work in confined or tight spaces for extended periods as required by hardware configuration

Qualifications:

* High School Diploma or GED
* 1+ year of related manufacturing or TPS experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
* Experience with primer mixing, chemical applications, and material ratio control
* Ability to interpret engineering drawings and process specifications
* Experience working with industrial chemicals and aerospace coatings
* Ability to work in confined spaces for extended durations

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience supporting a NASA program
* Experience in a clean room manufacturing environment

* Manufacturing experience supporting human spaceflight, spaceflight, or aircraft hardware programs
