Role Description
Arcadis is seeking a Roadway/Transportation Design Engineer to join the team in Jacksonville, FL. In this position, you will have the opportunity to be mentored and trained by technical experts in the field of transportation design. You will assist our growing transportation design and traffic engineering group in Florida in the preparation of roadway design plans, engineering reports, studies, and analyses in a wide range of areas such as traffic operations, safety, and transportation planning projects.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to grow professionally while working on a wide variety of projects alongside a dedicated and experienced staff.
- Utilize your experience with various software platforms including Microstation, Open Roads, and related design & office software to prepare conceptual designs and construction plans.
- Complete transportation planning reports, roadway safety studies, general traffic engineering projects, and Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control (EPSC) plans, inspections, and other stormwater-related projects.
- Create engineering design including geometric design of highways and streets, drainage design (hydrology and hydraulics), and complete construction engineering and inspection tasks.
- Collect traffic and highway field data as a key component of your role.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office tools such as Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
- Basic understanding of geometric and traffic operations principles including AASHTO, MUTCD, and state DOT requirements/policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or another closely related field.
- EIT Certification.
- Experience using Open Roads.

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. Salary range: $52,000 - $78,000.
