Job Description

Develops and maintains quality standards and evaluation methods for products and processes. Apply statistical analysis to define test methods, acceptance criteria, and drive quality improvements. Coordinates technical evaluations and data analysis to ensure divisional quality objectives are met.

Responsibilities
  • Assess quality performance, cost‑of‑quality, and process capability using statistical and analytical methods.
  • Develop and implement inspection, testing, evaluation, and quality assurance procedures for products, processes, and equipment.
  • Establish and maintain quality systems, inspection plans, statistical plans, and technical quality plans for projects and proposals.
  • Ensure project and process documentation meets regulatory, contract, and internal requirements.
  • Evaluate nonconforming materials, determine responsibility, and support failure analysis and corrective actions as part of the Material Review Board.
  • Coordinate with customers and suppliers on quality performance, trends, audits, and corrective action initiatives.
  • Participate in product development teams to review engineering releases, manufacturing methods, and process changes.
  • Apply statistical techniques, sampling plans, control charts, and experiments to monitor and improve process performance.
  • Implement continuous improvement and lean principles to enhance products, processes, and overall quality.
  • Prepare reports, analyze data, develop training materials, and mentor team members on quality practices.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and support internal and external audits.
  • Contribute to cross-functional and project teams, representing the company on quality initiatives.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3–5+ years of related experience within aerospace manufacturing environment.
  • American Society for Quality certification desired.
  • Experienced in root cause corrective action using 8D methodology.
Skills and Knowledge
  • Practical knowledge of modern inspection, quality engineering, and assurance techniques, tools, instruments, and principles.
