Mechanical Engineer, Product Engineer, Manufacturing Engineer
This role is for mechanical engineers with 10+ years of experience who consistently deliver, not those looking to grow into the role.
If you have not personally taken multiple products from concept to prototype to production, this is not the right fit.
If you have, keep reading.
The RoleThis is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Jacksonville, FL, for a Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in Product Development. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will oversee the design and development of mechanical systems for innovative disinfection technologies. Key responsibilities include creating machine designs, using CAD software (Solid Works) for prototyping, conducting research and development activities, and leading projects from conception to execution.
Close collaboration with interdisciplinary teams and stakeholders is integral to ensuring the delivery of high‑quality and impactful products.
We are building electromechanical systems that operate in real‑world, high‑demand environments - not lab‑only concepts.
You will be expected to:
- Solve complex integration challenges across mechanical, electrical, and real‑world constraints
- Deliver production‑ready designs - not just concepts
You will work directly with leadership. There is no buffer layer.
What You'll Actually Do- Lead new product development (NPD) from first principles through production
- Design and engineer electromechanical systems with tight performance requirements
- Create production‑grade CAD and drawings (Solid Works)
- Make real engineering tradeoffs: performance vs. manufacturability vs. cost
- Apply tolerance stack‑ups and DFM/DFA in practical, not theoretical, ways
- Rapidly prototype, test, fail, iterate, and improve
- Interface with vendors, manufacturers, and external partners
- Step into problems outside your lane and solve them
- 10+ years mechanical engineering experience
- Strong electromechanical system design experience
- Deep understanding of:
- Manufacturing processes (especially injection molding)
- Materials and real‑world performance
- Demonstrated ability to own outcomes without oversight
- You’ve built products that are actually in use - not just prototypes
- You understand failure modes because you’ve lived them
- You simplify complexity instead of adding to it
- You push back when something doesn’t make engineering sense
- You move fast without sacrificing correctness
- High accountability, low bureaucracy
- Direct access to decision-makers
- Fast‑paced, execution‑driven
- Expectations are high - and clear
- $40-$55/hour
, based on proven capability - not tenure alone - Excellent health, dental, vision, and life insurance
- Work on products that go from concept to deployment - not shelfware
- On‑site in downtown Jacksonville, FL
- No relocation assistance
- Guaranteed interview if you meet the minimum bar
In your application, include:
- 2-3 products you personally helped take to production
- Your exact role in those products
- The hardest engineering problem you solved and how you solved it
This is a drug‑free workplace. All offers of employment are contingent upon:
