- A bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field
- 12+ years of experience in the engineering industry
- Certification as a Professional Engineer (PE)
- Genuine curiosity, creativity, and a collaborative spirit
- Lead projects, including corridor studies, traffic operations, safety, and roadway/traffic/bridge design
- Manage preparation of community engagement, engineering reports, plans, and specifications for major and minor projects
- Prepare and review preliminary and final studies, plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates; recommend additions, deletions, and substitutions
- Participate in contract bidding and administration
- Supervise and oversee design and ongoing project progress, coordinating with city, state, and county officials, the general public, and other agencies
- Supervise junior engineers and technical support personnel assigned to the project
- Coordinate project activities with clients, contractors, outside consultants, the general public, and firm staff
- Communicate and interact effectively with project team members, client representatives, review agencies, and others; resolve complex issues such as public engagement challenges, conflicting design requirements, unsuitable materials, and coordination difficulties
