Area Airfield Design Business Class Leader

Responsibilities:

• Take responsibility for area-wide development, coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of airfield business class staff and products to meet client needs and market drivers.
• Collaborate on business class efforts with area and company operations, marketing and management.
• Develop and lead business class practice and professional discipline groups, and project teams.
• Participate in and contribute to annual business plan development; partner with Market Sector and Business Group leadership to manage business plan goals throughout the year.
• Internally and externally recruit, develop and retain aviation staff per Market Sector needs and strategy.
• Oversee delivery of project services and deliverables to meet client expectations, workload leveling needs and best‑practice application.
• Responsible for overseeing design deliverables with technical accuracy and quality control.
• Serve as an ambassador for our internal quality program for airfield design business class services, and oversee QA/QC procedures.
• Oversee project teams to successfully deliver on a variety of projects.
• Oversee the writing of technical reports, presentations, and other materials.

• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Proficient in aviation planning and design principles.
• Proven history in successfully leading teams on complex airport / airfield projects.
• Experience with FAA and US DoD aviation design criteria.
• Experience with large, multi‑disciplined programs at hub airports.
• Geographic diversity of experience throughout the US.
• Knowledge of aviation market in Florida including client relationships and past project experience.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as leadership, planning and mentoring skills.
• PMP certification.
• Local candidates preferred.

• Bachelor’s degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• 10 years of experience.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Maintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience.
• Experienced in development and management of diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts.
• Commitment to employee‑owned culture.
