Summary Objective
The Manufacturing Engineering Automation Leader is responsible for identifying, evaluating, and deploying next‑generation technologies that improve safety, quality, cost, and productivity across the manufacturing network. This role focuses on automation, robotics, digital manufacturing tools, and emerging technologies to enable long‑term competitive advantage and operational excellence.
Essential Functions
- Develop and lead an enterprise‑aligned manufacturing technology roadmap.
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies including automation, robotics, and AI.
- Conduct benchmarking and build partnerships with suppliers and innovation ecosystems.
- Pilot and validate advanced manufacturing processes prior to deployment.
- Lead strategy and execution of capital equipment investments.
- Oversee equipment design, specification, selection, and commissioning.
- Drive standardization of advanced manufacturing capabilities.
- Ensure safe and seamless integration of new technologies into operations.
- Identify and deploy digital manufacturing and AI‑driven solutions.
- Partner cross‑functionally with operations, quality, supply chain, and engineering.
- Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver automation and equipment projects.
- Establish advanced work methods and manufacturing standards.
- Support manufacturability and scalability for new product introductions.
- Develop long‑term factory‑of‑the‑future strategies.
- Build and mentor high‑performing engineering and automation teams.
- Drive innovation, continuous improvement, and technical capability development.

Work Location This position will work out of our Main Office in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment Most work is performed in an office environment. Regular trips to SEA Fabrication Shop for observation and research are required.
