Entry Level Water/Wastewater EngineerHazen and Sawyer is seeking an entry-level engineer for our Jacksonville office. As part of our design and process teams, you will work on water and wastewater projects, including drinking water/wastewater/reuse treatment facility upgrades, conveyance systems, well fields, stormwater management, water resources, and asset management.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in preparing engineering deliverables, including sampling studies, condition assessments, process modeling, hydraulics, and design reports
- Work directly with senior level engineering team providing mentoring opportunities to learn and develop
- Manage data for process modeling and design
- Attend client and internal project management meetings
- Coordinate with manufacturers and vendors to select equipment
- Support multiple projects from planning through construction
- Participate in fieldwork and site visits (mostly in-state)
- Conduct self-quality reviews before submitting work for additional QA/QC
- B.S. in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical engineering
- Strong interest in the water/wastewater industry
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, organization, and attention to detail
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- 0-2 years of relevant experience within the water/wastewater industry
- EIT certification
- M.S. in Environmental, Civil, Chemical, or Mechanical engineering
