Position Summary

We are seeking passionate candidates for the role of Manufacturing Engineer focused on our Orion Fluids Manufacturing Systems Integration/Test. The individual must be available to work the second shift from Friday to Monday, with Tuesday through Thursday off.

Responsibilities include:

• Modifying, updating, and developing welding-related manufacturing work instructions.
• Determining the sequence of operations, selecting or designing necessary tools, and resolving production issues during the assembly of mechanical parts and structures.
• Investigating design and manufacturing considerations, including equipment or part availability, manufacturability, assembly convenience, and managing large assemblies.
• Developing and maintaining documentation for all assembly processes.
• Troubleshooting and correcting hardware anomalies and discrepancies.
• Conducting producibility reviews on engineering designs and drawings to evaluate manufacturability, ease of assembly, and material availability.
• Providing technical support and oversight to production teams in an ISO class 7 cleanroom environment.
• Regularly interfacing with program personnel and reporting project status to leadership.

Availability for flexible scheduling is required to accommodate off-shifts and weekend work as necessary.

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with production manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Experience in technical writing.
• Able to read, analyze, and interpret diverse technical procedures and reports, as well as generate accurate documentation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Eligibility to work 2nd shift Friday to Monday.
• U.S. citizenship is required.

• Experience in Fluids Systems Integration.
• Familiarity with Engineering Change Management.
• Proven experience using SAP (VE CAMS/APRISO) or similar software for creating manufacturing work instructions, routings, product structures, and manufacturing bills of materials (EBOM/MBOM).
• Background in large volume component installations and engineering drawing reviews as a floor liaison.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and CNC processes.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Proficiency in designing tooling fixtures.
• Understanding of configuration management practices and tools such as Windchill or EPDM.
• Experience with CAD/CAM software including Creo Parametric, Creo View, or Solidworks.
• Ability to work alternate shifts and extra hours as needed.
• Strong communication skills.

This role is performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

4x10 hour days with three consecutive days off each week.
