Entry-Level Electrical Modification Technician – P-8

Location:

Jacksonville, FL

• Assist with disassembly of systems components to support the correction of failures or implement changes.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
• Perform validation/verification testing of systems and components.
• Fabricate and modify aerospace products according to specifications.
• Assist with and perform tasks associated with the safe handling of a simple aerospace vehicle (e.g., jacking, towing, system operations).
• Work under general supervision.

• Experience with electrical/electronic theories and avionics systems, shop mathematics, and practices.
• Experience in working with schematics, specifications, assembly drawings, and standard operating procedures.
• Experience with component and wire installation, including repairing, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting new, experimental, and disturbed systems.
• Ability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

• Experience with avionics and aircraft systems.
• FAA certification in Airframe and/or Power Plant.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance at the Secret level or higher.

Security clearance required: U.S. Secret.

Shift: variable. Drug‑free workplace. Pay range: $46,450 – $65,550.
