Description
NSI requires a Mechanical Engineer to support the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast (FRCSE), Metrology Division. In this role you will provide full‑spectrum Mechanical Engineering Support in the production environment within the FRCSE. The Metrology divisions support the Fleet using a multitude of test benches, test program sets, common support equipment (CSE) and peculiar support equipment (PSE) to provide end products to the U.S. Naval Aviation Fleet.
EssentialJob Functions
- Apply mechanical engineering knowledge in support of design, development, testing and evaluation, implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and administration of new and/or existing test equipment and support equipment systems.
- Collaborate, plan and execute repair efforts.
- Possess experience in one or more of the following measurement areas: hardness, gas pressure, liquid pressure, helium leak rate, gas flow, air velocity, torque, scales & balance, humidity, acceleration, vibration, and mass.

EducationBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience10 years of experience, with at least 5 years of Department of Defense experience preferred.
Allowable SubstitutionsA Master’s degree plus 5 years of experience.
