Design Project Manager – Data Center Design

USA (remote within USA, travel up to 30% domestically)

Arcadis is a leading global design and engineering company focused on sustainable solutions for natural and built assets. We collaborate with leading data center providers across the United States and are seeking experienced Data Center Design Project Managers to join our American Places group.

• Facilitate client requirements for the design of hyperscale data centers throughout the United States.
• Manage the design process from campus planning/basis of design through issuance of construction drawings, including creation of a shared plan for design execution and oversight of construction administration services provided by the external design team.
• Coordinate procurement, issue and administer change orders related to design and project scope, and issue engineering information to vendors and suppliers.
• Build strong positive relationships with internal and external multidisciplinary teams and final client teams to ensure quality work and clear communication.
• Ensure project deliverables meet milestones, deadlines, and client format requirements.
• Travel to project sites and client meetings, with travel anticipated up to 30% of the schedule.

• 10+ years of project design experience with data center designs, or large complex construction projects such as hospitals, high‑rises, laboratories, manufacturing plants, or high‑power plants.
• Experience with multidisciplinary internal and external teams and direct collaboration with final client teams.
• Experience preparing project plans, technical specifications, implementation plans and schedules, and coordinating internal and external teams.
• Knowledge of Autodesk Platforms:
  Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) or Building Information Modelling (BIM) engineered solutions.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field. Preferred licensure (PE, NCARB, RA) strongly preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple projects with evolving priorities in a dynamic, deadline‑driven environment.
