We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our Building, Energy and Infrastructure (BEI) Group as an Electrical Engineer in our Jacksonville, FL office. In this role you will provide technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for design projects as part of a multi‑discipline project team. Your work will produce electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal, and industrial facilities.
Responsibilities- Interact and work directly with clients to conduct preliminary evaluations.
- Prepare reports, design drawings, technical specifications, and permit submittals for electrical engineering projects.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects, ensuring completion within the allocated time frame and budget.
- Support the production of electrical design/construction drawings and specifications for institutional, commercial, municipal, and industrial facilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial and Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in electrical engineering or a related occupation.
- Project experience with arc flash analysis and coordination studies using SKM software.
- Proficiency in drafting and analysis software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SKM.
- Florida Professional Engineer registration, or the ability to obtain it quickly through reciprocity.
- Valid driver’s license, acceptable motor vehicle and criminal record.
- Over two years of experience providing technical and design services in support of power distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems for design projects.
