Overview
Blue Origin is hiring Manufacturing Engineers to apply standard engineering methods to design, develop, and implement new or revised manufacturing and production processes for the efficient and economical production of aerospace products.

Key Responsibilities- Translating engineering intent and drawings into fully functional hardware ready for test, qualification, and flight by crafting manufacturing bill of materials and work instructions.
- Identifying tools and equipment required for manufacturing flight hardware.
- Providing shipside/lineside support on the manufacturing floor.
- Non-conformance report (NCR) generation, management, and closure.
- Supporting introduction of new products by crafting manufacturing plan artifacts including build plans, duration estimates, index plans, and tool lists.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement projects for safety and efficiency, enhancing overall productivity.
- Drive the transition from development to production, proactively performing troubleshooting and maintenance as needed.
The Manufacturing Engineer at Blue Origin plays a pivotal role in advancing the efficiency and reliability of aerospace components through cutting-edge assembly methods. As part of a large, passionate team, you will manufacture and assemble hardware on our launch vehicle. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and requires dedicated commitment and attention toward safe and repeatable spaceflight.
Minimum Qualifications- Experience with aircraft, spacecraft, launch vehicle structures, automotive manufacturing or similar: (3+ Level II Engineer).
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Aerospace Engineering.
- Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing, including knowledge of GD&T.
- Strong written, personal, technical, and software skills (CAD, Issue Tracking, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc).
- Hands-on experience with building flight hardware.
- Experience with design, development or production of launch vehicles, spacecraft, or satellites.
- Proficient with Computer Aided Design (CAD) software (Creo or CATIA V5).
- Customer focused with a proven track record to work cooperatively with teams across large geographic distances.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.
