Injection Molding Engineer

Job Description

One of our large medical device manufacturing companies is seeking an Injection Molding Engineer to join their team. This person will be responsible for:

• Supporting development, validation, and optimization of injection molds and components in a regulated medical manufacturing environment.
• Support new product launches and troubleshoot current production challenges.
• Conduct mold validation activities (IQ/OQ/PQ) to meet FDA and ISO 13485 standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, Quality, Tooling, Manufacturing) to ensure manufacturability.
• Analyze molding issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain process documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The average pay for this role is between $40-45hr.

• Bachelor’s degree Mechanical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 2+ years of experience in injection molding process development and mold debugging.
• Knowledge of thermoplastics, mold design, and injection molding equipment.
• RJG Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification.
• Master Molder certification or Scientific Molding training.
