Civil/Land Development Project Manager

Baxter & Woodman has a rewarding opportunity for a Land Development Engineer to support our growing Florida operations. This position will focus on site development design, permitting, and project delivery for a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, managing design efforts, and coordinating directly with clients and regulatory agencies across Florida.

This position will focus on site development design, permitting, and project delivery for a variety of residential, commercial, institutional, and municipal projects. You will play a critical role in delivering high-quality engineering solutions, managing design efforts, and coordinating directly with clients and regulatory agencies across Florida.

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Performing detailed land development design, including:
  • Site grading and drainage plans
  • Stormwater management and water quality systems
  • Water, wastewater, and utility infrastructure
  • Roadway and access design
  • Preparing and overseeing construction drawings, calculations, and specifications
  • Conducting hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for stormwater systems and drainage basins
  • Utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and or Micro Station and related design software for production and design leadership
  • Leading permitting efforts for land development projects
  • Preparing and submitting permit applications and responding to RFIs/RAIs through approval
  • Ensuring compliance with Florida agencies (FDEP, Water Management Districts, local municipalities)
  • Meeting with clients to establish project vision, scope, and design intent
  • Coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and regulatory agencies
  • Managing multiple projects while maintaining budgets, schedules, and quality standards
  • Providing quality control review of plans and calculations

Education/Certification/Licenses requirement:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Professional Engineer license in Florida

Must-haves, what you will bring:

  • 5+ years of land development engineering experience
  • Experience in site design, grading, drainage, and utilities
  • Strong knowledge in stormwater design and permitting in Florida
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Micro Station
  • Experience managing or independently executing design tasks and projects
  • Ability to multi-task across projects and meet deadlines
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering plans and surveys

Compensation:
The pay range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
